DON’T WAIT, ACT NOW! Complete your club success plan to be eligible to be recognized for the work your club does throughout the Toastmasters year!
A new qualifying requirement for the Distinguished Club Program is that the Club Success Plan must be completed and submitted by September 30. Please upload or enter the completed Club Success Plan in Club Central by going to the Club Success Plan card and clicking on “Upload Plan.”
Any club that fails to complete and upload their plan to Club Central by September 30th WILL NOT be eligible for Distinguished Club Program recognition at year-end even if you grew your club membership, completed the administrative tasks, and members achieved educational goals over the Toastmasters year.
In completing the Club Success Plans,
Club Benefits:
- Collaboration among members
- Increased engagement
- Growth of Club and Members in communication and leadership
- Roadmap to results (i.e. Growing membership, increasing role participation, Pathways engagement, etc.)
Member Benefits:
- Develop Project Management skills
- Enhance strategic thinking
- Increase engagement by including all members in working towards club goals
Whether you’re completing the Toastmasters CSP or a similar plan for another organization, here are key strategies and things to watch for:
Before You Begin
- Draft Offline First
- Use Word or Google Docs to plan your goals, responsibilities, and timelines.
- This avoids losing work due to browser timeouts or crashes.
- Collaborate as a Team
- Hold a planning session with all club officers to complete the CSP together.
- Assign specific roles for each goal to ensure accountability.
- Designate One Editor
- Choose one officer (usually the President or VPE) to input and save the plan online to avoid version conflicts.
While Completing the CSP Online
- Use SMART Goals
- Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
- Example: “Increase membership by 5 by January 2026 through two Open Houses.”
- Collaborate with Full Officer Team
Don’t complete it solo — schedule a planning meeting where all officers can contribute ideas and commit to responsibilities.
- Save Frequently
- Some systems don’t auto-save.
- Copy-paste your work into a backup document as you go.
- Avoid Vague or Repetitive Goals
- Each goal should be actionable and unique to the CSP section it’s in.
- Set Check-in Dates
- Use the plan actively. Set reminders to review and update your progress quarterly.

If You’re Using Toastmasters’ Online CSP Tool:

- Some clubs prefer to download the CSP as a Word or PDF version first, collaborate offline, then upload or copy-paste the final responses
